- Prepare your device first: Install the Thermostat at a Location. Set up, Sign up with your account, and assign names to your ecobee devices on the Native Ecobee app.It is available for Android and iOS Users.
- Install the Google Home app on your Android or iOS .and sign in using your Google account.
- Make sure to connect your device and Google Home app with a common and reliable internet source.

Connect Ecobee to Google Home via Google Assistant
As long as you have a compatible device, Connecting to a smart home platform is easy and straightforward.
Start by naming your devices -For Ecobee thermostat users – Go to Main menu >General >Preferences >Device name >Type a name and Save.

Install the Ecobee app – On the Home screen – Choose the device -Thermostat or any compatible device >Tap Menu>Device Settings >Device name>Edit and Save.
Using a Google Home Speaker
Make sure that Your Speaker, Ecobee device, and the Smartphone on which the Home app is, are connected to the Same Internet source.
- Open the Google Home app and Tap on the + icon to add.
- Click on Set up Device and select Works with Google.
- From the compatible devices list, Search for Ecobee.
- Select and tap on Ecobee.
- Now, log in to your device using your ecobee credentials to link your device to the Google Home app.
- Tap on Accept and follow the onscreen prompts.

Once done, You can start controlling your Ecobee devices on the Google Home Platform. It can be done either via the Google Home app or the Google Assistant app. To enjoy and experience enhanced voice control features, Set up and connect to a Google Smart speaker.
You can also use IFTTT Software to integrate to Ecobee Thermostat to the Google Home Ecosystem. Create and add Applets for better and more controlled comfort.
Voice Commands for Ecobee on Google Home
